I understand that the Susitna Shooters team:

1) is a USAYESS & AlaskaYESS team, whose primary focus is developing excellent character in our youth, including responsibility, teamwork, leadership, coachability, self-reliance, integrity, and sportsmanship;

2) is a competitive team, training each week to successfully break more targets, learn the rules & protocol of each discipline, in order to compete in AlaskaYESS sanctioned tournaments and season championships, and that participation in competitions is required for continued membership, including the State Championship in June;

3) is a team that is actively engaged in fundraising events for the good of the program, the team, and the individual athlete, and that participation at the expected level is required for membership;

4) is a team that supports community activities, and encourages our athletes to participate in volunteer work and activities for the good of the program and the community,

5) is a team that is led by volunteer coaches who give their time and effort to provide the best training for each athlete, who are certified coaches, have completed a rigorous background check, as well as an abuse awareness course in compliance with the Safe Sports Act, and;

6) is a team whose athletes are supportive of their fellow teammates, show excellent sportsmanship, support, and camaraderie, respect staff, admin, coaches, team members, as well as all other athletes from other teams at all times.
